Healthy Bones (formerly Bone Builders)

This chair-based exercise class that focuses on balance and osteoporosis prevention is a fun and socially-engaging way for people to remain active. Participants with a variety of mobility and fitness levels benefit from Healthy Bones. Fellow class participants will soon become friends. 

Please plan on always arriving 15 minutes early to get ready for class. 


Ready, Set, Stretch

Ready, Set, Stretch is an exercise class utilizing thera bands for resistance. This class is for people of all activity levels.

Thera bands are available for purchase at the Grand Forks Senior Center for $7/band. The Grand Forks Senior Center carries three different resistances.


Chair Yoga

This guided exercise class is a gentle form of yoga practiced sitting on a chair or standing while using a chair for support. Chair yoga is great for everyone, as it helps improve flexibility, balance, posture, and relaxation. The leaders for this class are not yoga-certified, but they have been trained to lead this class.


Qigong

Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) is a breathing exercise used by kung fu practitioners for long-term health. It focuses on breathing techniques and different forms for flexibility, posture, energy, mood, and range of motion. The main breathing technique is deep, diaphragmatic breathing. This class is led by Harpreet Singh.
