Home Delivered Meals

On July 1, 2016, the Grand Forks Senior Center and Home Delivered Meals (located within Altru hospital) merged. Home Delivered Meals will now be operated under the Grand Forks Senior Center umbrella.

It is a great benefit to older adults and the entire community to have both meal delivery programs run through one organization as greater efficiencies are realized. More options and services are also available to customers of both programs.

Many people wonder which program, Meals on Wheels or Home Delivered Meals, they should consider for meal delivery. If an individual

  • Lives outside Grand Forks city limits OR
  • Needs a special diet such as cardiac, renal, low sodium, pureed, ground, gluten-free, etc. OR
  • Is not homebound OR
  • Is under 60 years old

they should be on the Home Delivered Meals program. Contact information is below. Come back soon for more information and a downloadable Home Delivered Meals brochure.

The Home Delivered Meals program, run through the Grand Forks Senior Center, is funded by Altru Alliance, Title III Older Americans Act, Mill Levy funds, United Way, grants, local contributions, donations, and memorials. All money collected goes back into the program to pay for more meals.
